Your Guide to Living at Blue Ridge
Moving to a new home can feel scary, and you might have lots of questions. That is completely normal! We want you to feel safe, happy, and comfortable here.
What is it like here?
Blue Ridge is a comfortable family home in Essex. You will have your own bedroom, which you can decorate with posters and photos to make it feel like yours. There is a cozy living room, a dining room where we eat meals together, and a big garden to play in.
Our staff team is very friendly and caring. They are here to help you get ready for school, cook delicious meals, support you with hobbies, and listen to you when you need a chat.
Speak to us / Tell us something
Is something bothering you? Are you feeling unhappy, angry, or worried? You can use this simple box to tell the Registered Manager. You do not have to write your real name if you do not want to.

It is our job to make sure you are safe from hurt, bullying, or worry. If you are ever scared, tell us immediately. We will help you.
You have a voice and choices
You can choose how to decorate your bedroom, what you like to eat, and what hobbies you want to do. We want to know your opinions!
You can talk to people outside the home
If you are unhappy with us, you can talk to an Independent Advocate, your Social Worker, or Ofsted. They are there to protect you.

Childline
A free, private, and confidential helpline. You can talk to them about anything, anytime.
NYAS (National Youth Advocacy Service)
They can give you a friendly "Independent Advocate"—someone who will represent your wishes and stand up for your rights.
Children's Commissioner for England
Their team is called "Help at Hand", and they fight to make sure children in care are looked after properly.
